Southern Red Cedar, despite its name, is actually not a cedar at all! Southern Red Cedar is actually part of the juniper family. It's known for its easy going nature and low maintenance needs. It's sometimes referred to as Florida Red Cedar, as well. These trees have a beautiful manicured look and pyramidal growth habit. They produced gorgeous, emerald-green soft needle-like foliage. They also produce a blue berry type cone that attracts songbirds.

Southern Red Cedar is an impressive tree, if it is given space to spread out. These can mature in at about 40' tall.

Southern Red Cedar isn't picky and can tolerate both full sun to part shade conditions. It does prefer a well-draining soil. For maximum growth rate be sure to fertilize with a good quality granular fertilizer every three months in the growing season.

We sell Southern Red Cedar in both 15 and 30 gallon containers.

Nursery pick up only (or we'll deliver to you for an additional fee). No shipping as of this time. Please remember some plants look different in different seasons, for the most accurate visual representation of our plants, it's best to visit our nursery. Online orders will be ready for pick up within 48 hours (usually sooner).
