Roebelenii is commonly referred to as a dwarf date palm. It reaches a mature height of about 6.5' tall and will have about a 5' frond spread. This palm is ideal as a container palm, given its relatively small mature size.

Phoenix Roebelenii are cold hardy to around 24°F (and they can survive even lower temperatures, if exposure is brief and day temperatures warm up above the freezing mark). They traditionally do well in our area, but every once in a while we get a cold snap that requires protection. It is easy to protect your Roebelenii, given their relatively small size. First apply a thick layer of mulch around the base to keep the roots warm. Then you'll want to wrap the trunk in a thick, preferably wool, blanket and cover the whole tree with a frost proof trap. Remove the protection as soon as temperatures rebound. Heavy frosts can damage fronds.

We sell Phoenix Roebelenii Palm multiple sizes-- from 3 gallon all the way up to 30 gallon containers.

Nursery pick up only (or we'll deliver to you for an additional fee). No shipping as of this time. Please remember some plants look different in different seasons, for the most accurate visual representation of our plants, it's best to visit our nursery. Online orders will be ready for pick up within 48 hours (usually sooner).
