Bismarkia is one of the most striking palms out there. Unapologetically huge fan-shaped fronds in a color that is somewhere between green and blue.
These palms are truly elegant and something to see in person. At maturity they can top out at large than 30' tall, but will only grow about 3' per year. These do need protection when temps plunge below 27 °F. We recommend mulching generously around the base and wrapping the trunk in a wool-type blanket and covering the fronds with a frost proof tarp.
